There are many different bonding techniques when it comes to the Lashify system. If you are just starting out, you’ll hear methods that incorporate Whisper Light Bond™, the most common bond, especially for newcomers. It comes in the Control Kit®, too! Once you have that down, it’s time to take on something a little stronger, a little more powerful: Bondage Extra Strength Bond with Charcoflex®.
If you're like me and have itchy or watery eyes from seasonal allergies, oily lids or develop oil in the T-zone of your face, Bondage may be your saving grace. For me, it gives the longevity that I’m looking for with the Lashify system, while nourishing my lashes. I mean, I wore Bondage in the Miami heat, dancing, swimming, you name it for 11 days and these babies didn’t budge. Win-win if you ask me!!
Let’s get the formalities out of the way first. What is Bondage?
Bondage is Lashify’s stronger holding bond with activated charcoal. Still safe for sensitive eyes and doesn’t contain any cyanoacrylates, formaldehyde, or latex.

It took me a little bit longer to get the hang of using Bondage when I first started. It is runnier in consistency and gets tackier quicker than the traditional bond. It’s still flexible and never fully hardens or cures, but if you don’t have your placement down it can get a little tricky. A little bit goes a long long way– less is more when it comes to Bondage. Once they’re on though, you are locked, loaded and secure. I live for it!
How to Apply
There are a couple of different bonding techniques that I like to use when working with Bondage. One offers a more flexible hold, and one is more of a sure fire extra-strength hold. Both are amazing and work wonders with my application and lash maps.
The Lockdown Method with a Twist
This is my go-to most of the time. I comfortably get 7 to 10 days of wear with minimal touch ups. It’s the perfect amount of hold while keeping my lashes flexible. I’ll walk you through it:

Products I Can’t Live Without
Perfect, flexible bond. Great for beginners and experienced users alike. I love to have this on hand for touch ups or lifting.
The lash fibers are so weightless and fine. You don’t want your natural lashes to clump and show through your gorgeous lash map.
My holy grail and prep step. I use this to clean my lashes before application, to tone my face in the mornings, to remove makeup and clean around the eye area while I am wearing a lash map.
My favorite remover and so perfect for taking off Bondage. Release has fermented and concentrated oils that perfectly break apart the bond. The oils also nourish my natural lashes so that they stay healthy, no damage.
Helps speed up my drying time during application. Super important to allow each layer of your bond to get tacky.
I love these! Especially when using Pre-Cleanse around my eye area to clean up and remove makeup.
