If you're into lashes you're probably into hair too! And as you may know it's a gamble. You never really know what you're going to get!
We asked our expert Stylist Lee of SL Raw Virgin Hair what to look for.
Here's her top tips:
1. Make sure the seller is not getting their hair from China. China hair looks good one time and then it's a bundle of hay.
2. Many of the bad quality hair companies pretend like they are based in the USA, but they're actually not. Do your research! China hair is usually very shiny because it has silicones that coat the hair to make it seem appealing.
3. Nobody that has real human high quality is selling it for $50! It's just not possible.
4. The best quality comes from India, Southeast Asia or Russia.
5. The price should range around $100 - $200 per bundle.
6. Look for raw virgin hair. Usually this hair has low luster, a little bit of frizz and also may have some split ends. That means it's the real deal!
7. You need to look at the craftsmanship of the wefts, making sure it's sewn well. Handcrafted is nice, but machine sewn is much more longer lasting.
8. Look for a company that is knowledgable and has an expert backing it. Many of these hair companies are owned by men who don't have clue! They will YES MAN you while not knowing a thing about quality. Choose a company that uses their own hair. Usually if the owner is using the hair they will never accept anything but the best.
