When it comes to extending the wear of your Lashify Gossamer® lash map, small adjustments can make a big difference. With the seasons changing sometimes we need to troubleshoot or switch up our bonding method and focus on aftercare in order to get the most wear out of our lashes. Let’s walk through everything from prep to aftercare to ensure that you are getting the most out of your gossamer® lashes during wear. Don’t worry if you are having difficulty with your lash map staying on for a longer period of time- we will cover that too, promise!
Prep
The first key to longer wear: make sure your base is prepped and ready to go. Start by ensuring that your natural lashes are thoroughly cleansed before application. Pre-Cleanse is Lashify’s Japanese Cleansing Water. It’s super gentle and is a multi-purpose product. Use Pre-Cleanse on the Black Magic Cleansing Puff to cleanse and tone your face daily. Prior to application, take Pre-Cleanse and the Fluffer tool and brush it through the lashes to remove anything that could keep the bonds from working their magic.

Application
Use a light touch when applying bonds, focusing on even coverage without overloading the lashes. Gentle light coats through the lashes from root to end and allowing each layer to get tacky will help with proper application and longevity. Always apply your Gossamer® lashes 1-2 mm from the waterline, nothing should be touching the skin. This will help with both comfort and longevity. A full or reverse fuse over every spine is a mandatory step.
Sealing
For added longevity, consider finishing with Water Poof™ or Night Line™ Sealer to protect your lashes from oil and moisture. With proper care, your Gossamer map can stay flawless for days! Water Poof™ is a water-resistant sealer that works with the bond and Spine™ base to absorb excess moisture and remove stickiness. Night Line™ Sealer reinforces and protects your Gossamer® lashes for a stronger hold. Apply a thin line of Night Line™ Sealer to the spine of the Gossamer® lashes after application and fusing for ultimate longevity. For best results, do not fuse after applying. Reapply as needed for touch-ups.

Aftercare and Cleansing
Cleaning your eyelids not only keeps your natural lashes healthy but also ensures your Gossamer lashes stay secure and look their best. Gentle cleansing helps remove oil, dirt, and makeup without compromising the bond. By following a consistent aftercare routine, you’ll protect both your lashes and the integrity of the Lashify system for a flawless look every day.
Proper aftercare and cleansing are essential for maintaining the longevity and health of your Lashify Gossamer® lashes. The bonds never fully harden or cure in order to protect the natural lash. You will want to wait 12-24 hours before showering. Allow your lash map to settle. Avoid oils or hot water directly touching your eyes and lash map as this will break apart the bonds. If moisture gets up under the Spine™ base from water they will lift. If your lashes do become wet, allow them 20+ minutes to dry, do not touch them. You can also use the Blow tool to help speed up drying time.
Daily Fuse
Sometimes all you need is a 10 second fuse on each eye in the morning and you are ready for the day. The primary function of the Fuse™ Control Wand is to seamlessly merge your natural lashes, the applied bond, and your Gossamer® lash map into one cohesive set. Fusing is an essential step in the Lashify application process, not an optional one. Achieving a proper fuse along the spines of the Gossamer lashes ensures they stay securely in place, enhancing both their durability and longevity with the system. During your 5+ days of wear sometimes all you need is to give your lash map a fuse to align all the Gossamer® lashes after sleeping or an activity. Check out our videos on fusing:
Heat Fusing
Heat fusing is the act of fusing after using the Lashicurl® heated silicone curler. This technique helps re-activate the bond for better adhesion and longer wear.
- Turn on the Lashicurl to the 2nd or 3rd heat setting.
- Allow Lashicurl to sit at the base of your Gossamer® lash map for 10-15 seconds to heat up and reactivate the bond.
- Take your Fuse Control® Wand, without Wandoms®, and fuse (full fuse) the map down to recreate the seal and aid in longevity/wear.
Fusing is an integral part of the Lashify system and seamlessly blends the Gossamer® lashes to your natural ones. Each fuse creates a stronger hold for longevity.
