There’s nothing quite like the energy of a Thom Browne Fashion Show. It’s not just fashion—it’s theater, it’s fantasy, it’s a world unto itself. And on February 11, 2025, celebrities like Anna Wintour, Queen Latifah, Cara Delevigne, Adrien Brody, and more came to see this year’s vision - a world that took flight, quite literally. For the second year in a row, Lashify partnered with Key Makeup Artist, Isamaya Ffrench to help make Thom Browne’s vision a reality.
This season, Browne’s collection was inspired by birds—not in just a literal sense, but in a way that captured movement, grace, and the delicate balance between structure and freedom. Isamaya Ffrench was the genius behind the makeup in collaboration with Lashify. The show’s inspiration came from birds. For the look, Isamaya wanted to “bring a magical story to life through makeup.”
With Lashify lashes, that story was able to be told. Every blink evoked flight, every glance felt otherworldly. And with two lash looks designed to complement this fantasy world, we brought that vision to life.
Backstage, the energy was fast-paced and electric. The Lashify team got to The Shed and the lash application started immediately. The 50 models - both male and female- were labeled either Birds or Tailoring. This label meant everything because it determined which lash look they would wear - EgdeX or Cherry Stax. To apply, the Lashify team used Bondage® Extra Strength with Charcoflex® Bond to ensure the lashes weren’t going anywhere.
Once the lashes were applied Lashify worked with Isamaya Ffrench and her team to get feathers applied to those labeled as “Birds”. Models were transformed into creatures of flight—hair sculpted into fantastical avian shapes, and, of course, lashes meticulously applied. Every second counted as everyone worked with precision, carefully and quickly.
EdgeX + Colorful Feathers: The Illusion of Flight
For some models, we applied EdgeX, a lash collaboration between Isamaya & Lashify that is designed to mimic a graphic eyeliner look. Once the lashes were applied, Isamaya and her team delicately attached colorful feathers, extending from the lashes like soft, delicate plumes. As the models moved and blinked, the feathers shifted, creating the illusion of a bird-like feathers. The effect was mesmerizing—lashes that weren’t just an accessory, but a statement of movement and magic. Harper’s bazaar stated:
Cherry Stax - 18mm: Soft, Spiky Elegance
For others, we applied Cherry Stax 18mm straight across the lash line, creating a soft yet spiky effect. These lashes were all about structured beauty on model’s wearing perfectly tailored outfits. This look gave the eyes a bold, fanned-out shape. The subtle spikes framed the models’ gazes with effortless elegance, mirroring the precise tailoring of Thom Browne’s silhouettes.
