To stack or not to stack? That is the question!
But first you should know, having spent nearly a decade and a half as a professional in the beauty industry, I am no stranger to a lash. Long lashes, short lashes, thin lashes, voluminous lashes, spiky lashes…you name it, I’ve worn it.
I thought I knew all there was to know about the lash game until Lashify.
I’m a bit of a late bloomer in the Lashify world but a quick study when I become obsessed with something!
Lashify first came into my life through the DIY lash extension wave on TikTok and Instagram. I always wanted extensions but couldn’t bear the thought of devoting so much time and money getting them applied and possibly damage my natural lashes…in walked Lashify and I was intrigued!
I’m the kind person that needs to know as much as I can before I try something new, so I spent hours on end, watching all the videos and stalking the Lashify Life Facebook before I finally pulled the trigger.
My first order consisted of The Doe Eye Bundle and 3 cartridges of Starburst lashes. I applied the bundle, and it was a bit of an uneven mess. I stacked a couple of Starburst lashes, attempting to hide my mistakes and achieve that smooth, even lash line. Well, I fixed my lash line and got a completely different look that I loved even more! I couldn’t believe 3 extra lashes did all that. It was over for my monthly beauty budget at that point!

From there I took on the task of learning how to perfect my base layer application and stacking at the same time. I was stacking any and every style, just to see what I could come up with.
In the beginning, I took a lot of inspiration from a few of the OG Lashifiends in Lashify Life but now I love to find random pictures online of lash extensions or strip lashes and try to recreate them!

What’s my favorite style to stack together you ask? I get this question a lot in the Facebook group and man it’s so hard to answer! My lash style is completely dependent on my mood, so I have no true favorites, I love them all equally!

If you’re new to Lashify, stacking can feel intimidating and seem like it’s only for the lovers of big, bold lash looks, but what I’ve learned is that stacking doesn’t always have to mean mega volume or drama.
Base: Chocolate Fluffy 10, 12, 12, 14, 14mm
Stack: Chocolate Stardust 14, 20, 20, 16mm
I’ve found stacking to be a great way to bring balance to an eye shape or lash look, or add depth, dimension, and texture to an otherwise subtle Gossamer lash style without overpowering it. (I’m also a big fan when it comes to brick stacking for longevity’s sake.)

Is stacking necessary to get the most out of your Lashify experience? For me, not at all! I’ve created some maps I absolutely love without stacking. That’s the beauty of this system and what made me fall in love—the ability to tailor your lash look to exactly what you want.

The perfect lash means something different for all of us and there’s truly no right or wrong way to get there. Whether that’s a voluminous layer of Extreme Gossamer lashes with another sassy layer of Starburst thrown in, or a humble layer of Curl Gossamer lashes with one sweet Plushy Tame on the end…you’re in control of the possibilities! Stacking just happens to be my thing.

My top tip for achieving a stacked lash look? Start your stacking journey with a Core or Plus+ Gossamer lash ! I am a firm believer that everyone should have at least one core style in their lash arsenal. My favorite core style is the Curl Gossamer.
Cores play well with every volume style. The spines are so thin and forgiving, making them extremely easy to lay on top of other styles and add little to no bulk to your lash line!
Remember, your stack may not be perfect the first few tries but if you take even just a little bit of time to experiment with your lash looks, you might find something you absolutely love.
