What are Magnetic Lashes?
Magnetic Lashes are a type of false lash application applied one of two ways. First, by using a magnetized eyeliner on the lid of the eye, above the lash or right along the lash line, a magnetic strip lash is then attached to the line you have drawn. You can also apply these lashes with 2 strips, one for the underlash and one for the top, clamping them together with the given tool until they ‘click’ into place to create the lash look.

The application of the Gossamer® lashes, 1-2mm from the waterline gives the most seamless look. With proper application the roots of the natural lashes are exposed. The bond for the lashes is flexible, free of any harsh chemicals, and never fully hardens or cures, allowing your natural lashes move and grow freely without damage. The best thing, unlike magnetic lashes, is that I don’t need heavy liner or shadow to achieve my desired look. I can add that if I would like, but it is not needed in order to use the product.
Pros and Cons
I had a difficult time with the idea of a magnet so close to my eye and touching the thin, delicate skin around the eye area. I also needed to remove them after a day of wear. With Lashify I can wear them comfortably for up to 10 days and can clean them daily with Pre-Cleanse, Lashify’s Japanese cleansing water, and Charcoal Cotton Swabs to keep the area clean and free of bacteria or build up that one may get while sleeping.
Magnetic lashes give a similar look as strip lashes. Sometimes giving the 2 layered effect where you can see the separation between your natural lashes and the false ones that you’ve applied.
